01Operator and Scope

These PL Credit Terms (“Terms”) apply to PL Credit issued and administered by PL A-VENTURE LIMITED (“PL A-VENTURE”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

PL Credit may arise from direct purchase or top-up, Bonus Credit, an eligible refund, Trade-in, promotion, customer-service arrangement, conversion of a PL Japan Rental Gift Card balance, or another clearly stated programme.

The relevant product page, Refund and Returns Policy, Trade-in Policy, PL Japan Rental Gift Card Terms, promotional terms and other applicable policies may also apply. Specific conditions clearly disclosed before particular PL Credit is obtained prevail for that Credit if they differ from these Terms.

02Nature of PL Credit

PL Credit is a member spending balance for eligible PL A-VENTURE goods and services. It is not a bank deposit, payment account, electronic money, investment product, interest-bearing account, general cash payment instrument or foreign currency.

PL Credit earns no interest and does not automatically increase with exchange rates, inflation or time.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing, PL Credit cannot be redeemed or withdrawn for cash, does not guarantee a cash repurchase value for any product, and cannot settle a liability outside the relevant Member Account.

03Member Account, Top-up and Issue

A customer must use a valid email address to create or confirm the designated PL Member Account before receiving, purchasing or using PL Credit. PL Credit is linked to the Member Account through which it is purchased or issued.

Customers may directly purchase or top up PL Credit through designated PL A-VENTURE channels. The amount paid, PL Credit received, Bonus Credit and any other benefit are those displayed on the applicable product or promotional page when the purchase is completed.

Where a top-up includes Bonus Credit, the Bonus Credit is added to the designated Member Account together with the related purchase and is subject to these Terms and any additional conditions disclosed at purchase.

Refund Credit is normally issued after the relevant refund is approved. Trade-in Credit is issued after the applicant accepts the final offer, we confirm acceptance of the product and the Trade-in is completed. Other Credit is issued under the relevant promotion or written notice.

A form, automated reply, preliminary valuation, incomplete payment or application number does not mean PL Credit has been issued or added to an account.

04Amount, Display Unit and Account Records

PL Credit is generally displayed as PL$. The amount issued, available balance, Bonus Credit and related records are those shown in the purchase or issue notice, Member Account or checkout record.

Unless clearly stated on a relevant product page or arrangement, these Terms do not create a fixed conversion ratio between PL Credit and Japanese yen, Hong Kong dollars or another currency.

Where PL Credit is accepted for a designated item or service denominated in another currency, the amount of PL Credit required is the price displayed on the product page, Online Store or checkout when the transaction is completed.

Pricing may be adjusted for market exchange rates, operating costs and other commercial factors. A completed transaction is not recalculated merely because pricing or exchange rates later change.

Product pricing or conversion arrangements between PL Credit and another PL spending balance do not constitute a foreign-currency exchange service.

05Validity

PL Credit has no single standard validity period. An expiry applies only where a date was clearly stated on the product page, promotion, offer, notice or Member Account before or when that Credit was purchased or issued.

If no expiry was stated when PL Credit was purchased or issued, we will not impose or shorten one retrospectively merely by updating these Terms.

Credit with an expiry must be successfully applied to an eligible order before that date. An incomplete checkout, failed payment, retained cart or unsubmitted order is not use.

Unless applicable law or the original conditions provide otherwise, expired Credit is not extended, reissued or refunded in cash.

06Permitted Use

PL Credit may be used, after signing in to the designated Member Account, for products, services or other items shown as eligible at checkout in the official PL A-VENTURE Shopify Online Store.

PL Credit may also be used, under the arrangements applicable at the time, to purchase a designated PL Japan Rental Gift Card for use by the relevant Member Account for designated rental services in Japan.

Standard PL Japan Rental Gift Card purchase denominations generally include ¥5,000, ¥10,000 and ¥20,000. Available denominations and the PL Credit required are those displayed on the product page at the time of purchase.

Purchasing a Gift Card with PL Credit does not itself create or pay for a specific Rental Booking and does not guarantee any date, equipment, size or inventory. Rental service must still be separately booked and confirmed.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, PL Credit cannot be used directly for on-site Equipment Rental payment, Gear Storage, Lessons, Camps, events, travel arrangements, third-party goods or services, Trade-in product valuation, or to purchase or increase other PL Credit.

This restriction does not prevent the specific purchase of PL Japan Rental Gift Cards expressly permitted by these Terms.

07Checkout, Part Payment and Balance

If an eligible order exceeds the available PL Credit, the customer must pay the difference using another method accepted at checkout.

If available PL Credit exceeds the amount required, the unused portion remains in the original Member Account subject to its existing conditions and any applicable expiry.

PL Credit is deducted only after an order is successfully submitted and the system confirms its use. A cart display does not reserve stock, price, promotion or Credit.

If checkout limits the amount, payment method or combination that may be used in one order, the checkout display and relevant product terms apply.

08PL Japan Rental Gift Card

A PL Japan Rental Gift Card purchased using PL Credit is governed by the PL Japan Rental Gift Card Terms .

The PL Credit required for a Gift Card is the price displayed on the product page when the purchase is completed. PL A-VENTURE may periodically review and change prices for future purchases, including for market exchange rates, operating costs and other reasonable commercial factors.

A Gift Card already purchased and issued retains its confirmed Japanese-yen value and is not recalculated merely because the later PL Credit price changes.

The Gift Card remains linked to the PL Member Account through which it was purchased and is subject to its applicable non-transferability, Member Account, Rental Booking, expiry and use rules.

09Conversion of Gift Card Balance to PL Credit

An unused Gift Card balance that qualifies under the PL Japan Rental Gift Card Terms may be converted to PL Credit at the request of the original Member Account holder, subject to the arrangements applicable at the time.

Conversion to PL Credit is not calculated by reversing the amount of PL Credit originally used, the original market exchange rate or the original product price.

The PL Credit issued on conversion is calculated using the conversion basis published or confirmed by PL A-VENTURE when the request is processed.

This is a commercial and membership arrangement between PL spending balances and is not foreign-currency exchange.

Once conversion is completed, the corresponding Gift Card balance will be deducted, cancelled or invalidated. The same value cannot remain both on the Gift Card and in PL Credit.

PL Credit added after conversion is governed by these Terms.

10Member Account, No Transfer and Cross-account Payment

PL Credit is tied to the Member Account through which it was purchased or issued. Except for a written arrangement by us to correct an account email, migrate a system or address another reasonable circumstance, it cannot be gifted, transferred, resold, exchanged, pledged, consolidated into another account or traded through a third party.

PL Credit, PL Japan Rental Gift Cards, Rental Credit or other member balances belonging to different PL Member Accounts cannot be combined to pay for the same Rental Booking.

Each Rental Booking must be created and managed under one primary PL Member Account. The primary member may create a multi-person Rental Booking for accompanying family members, friends or other declared users through their own account, but balances from another Member Account cannot be combined with their own to pay for that booking.

A change in lawful ownership of an account, order or product does not automatically transfer PL Credit. An unofficial arrangement purporting to sell or transfer Credit does not bind us, and we are not responsible for resulting loss.

11Promotions, Bonus Credit and Minimum Spend

Unless clearly stated for particular Credit, a top-up or a promotion, these Terms do not impose a minimum spend.

PL Credit top-ups may from time to time include Bonus Credit. The amount, percentage, issue conditions, restrictions and any expiry for Bonus Credit are those displayed on the applicable product or promotion when the purchase is completed.

Whether PL Credit can be combined with a discount code, member offer, bundle price, gift-with-purchase, sale or another promotion depends on the applicable promotional terms and checkout settings.

If a return, cancellation or order amendment means that the order no longer qualifies for a promotion, Bonus Credit, gift or minimum-spend condition, we may recalculate the eligible refund, Credit or amount payable under the applicable policy and original promotional terms.

12Cancellation, Return and Refund

Cancellation, return, defect and refund eligibility for general Online Store goods purchased using PL Credit is governed by the Refund and Returns Policy and applicable law.

After approval, the eligible portion originally paid by PL Credit is normally returned to the original Member Account as PL Credit. The eligible portion paid by another method is handled under the applicable refund method.

Returned PL Credit normally retains its original nature, restrictions and expiry.

If we cancel or cannot fulfil an order, or our error prevents reasonable use of applied Credit before its original expiry, we will reasonably restore the Credit and provide a reasonable use period for an affected portion that has expired or is about to expire.

This does not convert PL Credit into cash unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Cancellation, balance, expiry and use arrangements for a PL Japan Rental Gift Card purchased using PL Credit are governed by the PL Japan Rental Gift Card Terms .

13Account Security and Unauthorised Use

The account holder must safeguard login details, email account and devices, and keep account information accurate.

Contact us promptly after discovering unauthorised access, PL Credit use, Gift Card purchase, an email change or other suspicious activity.

A transaction completed using correct account credentials before we receive notice may be irreversible. We will reasonably investigate, but do not guarantee replacement of Credit used because the customer disclosed credentials, shared an account, suffered an email-account compromise or another cause beyond our control, except where we failed to take reasonable security measures, made an error or applicable law requires otherwise.

14Error, Fraud and Misuse

If PL Credit was improperly added or retained because of a system, input or calculation error, duplicate issue, reversed refund, material misrepresentation, fraud, misuse or breach of relevant promotional terms, we may investigate, suspend, correct or withdraw unused improper Credit after reasonable notice.

Where reasonably necessary, we may suspend the related account, Gift Card or order, request identity, order or payment evidence, and recover an improperly used amount as permitted by law.

A correction will, where practicable, be limited to affected Credit or transactions and will not arbitrarily cancel an unrelated balance obtained lawfully.

15Account Closure and Programme Changes

A customer requesting closure of a Member Account should first use eligible PL Credit or contact us about available arrangements.

Account closure does not convert PL Credit into cash or automatically transfer it to another Member Account.

Credit in an account closed for fraud, unlawful activity or a material breach of these Terms is handled according to the investigation outcome and applicable law.

We may change, suspend or end the PL Credit programme for operational, system, security, fraud-risk or legal reasons.

An update will not, merely because of a policy change, retrospectively cancel a lawfully issued balance, add an undisclosed expiry or reduce non-excludable rights arising from a completed transaction.

16Personal Data

We handle Member Account, order, top-up, refund, Trade-in, PL Credit balance, Gift Card purchase and conversion, usage, communication, security and verification data under our Privacy Policy to issue and administer Credit, process orders and refunds, prevent fraud, answer enquiries, maintain records and meet legal obligations.

Receiving, purchasing or using PL Credit does not automatically subscribe the account holder to marketing. Marketing is handled under separate consent and applicable law.

17Law, Language and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Chinese and English versions of these Terms are available. If they are ambiguous, inconsistent or conflicting, the English version prevails unless applicable law requires otherwise.
