- 每次使用前檢查產品、扣件、接合位置及主要功能;如有鬆脫、裂痕、變形或安全疑慮,停止使用;
- 使用後移除表面雪、水分及污物,於陰涼、乾燥、通風位置自然風乾;
- 避免火焰、暖爐、風筒、乾衣機、車內高溫、強烈陽光或其他直接熱源;
- 除產品指引明確容許外,勿浸泡、機洗、乾洗、漂白、熨燙,或使用酒精、溶劑、家用玻璃清潔劑及強力化學品;

01Operator and Scope
This Care & Repair Policy (“Policy”) applies to PL A-VENTURE branded physical products for which PL A-VENTURE LIMITED (“PL A-VENTURE”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides care information, inspection or repair support.
This Policy governs general product care and repair outside warranty coverage. Product Registration, warranty, returns and refunds, Trade-in and PL Credit are governed by their specific policies. Equipment Rental, Gear Storage, Lessons, Camps, events, travel arrangements and other services are outside this Policy.
02Nature and Priority of Care Instructions
This Policy provides general principles and cannot address every product, material, coating or environment. More specific instructions on the product page, packaging, label, enclosed guide or in our product-specific written advice take priority.
Care may reduce wear but cannot prevent natural ageing, accidental damage, performance change, or every instance of fogging, snow ingress or moisture. Damage directly caused or worsened by failure to follow applicable instructions may fall outside commercial warranty, without affecting rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
03General Use, Cleaning and Storage
- before each use, inspect the product, fasteners, joints and main functions; stop using it if there is looseness, cracking, deformation or a safety concern;
- after use, remove surface snow, moisture and dirt and air-dry in a cool, dry and ventilated place;
- avoid flame, heaters, hair dryers, tumble dryers, hot vehicles, strong sunlight and other direct heat;
- unless expressly permitted by product instructions, do not soak, machine-wash, dry-clean, bleach or iron, or use alcohol, solvents, household glass cleaner or harsh chemicals;
- store only when fully dry, in a clean protective bag or suitable container, away from crushing, twisting, sharp objects, moisture and prolonged sealed storage; and
- during long-term storage, periodically inspect for moisture, mould, bonding, foam, leather and other material condition.
04Goggle, Lens and Foam Care
Use only a clean dedicated goggle bag or suitable microfibre cloth to wipe the outside of a lens gently. If the inside is snowy, wet or fogged, never wipe it while damp. Shake off excess moisture gently and air-dry at room temperature in a cool, ventilated place. Wiping a damp inner lens may damage its anti-fog coating.
Keep vents and foam clean and unobstructed. Do not rub a lens with gloves, sleeves, tissues or abrasive material, and do not use alcohol, lens spray or a chemical not confirmed as suitable. Do not leave wet goggles sealed in a bag, helmet or hot vehicle. Store only when fully dry, protected from pressure and hard objects.
Fogging or snow ingress may result from temperature difference, moisture, perspiration, obstructed ventilation, fit, face covering or helmet interaction, weather or a fall and does not necessarily indicate a manufacturing issue. If abnormal performance continues after correct use and complete drying, stop use and contact us. Foam should only be gently spot-cleaned and must not be squeezed, pulled, scrubbed or directly heated.
05Leather Gloves and Soft Goods
Do not soak, machine-wash, bleach, dry-clean or directly heat leather products. If wet, blot surface moisture with a clean cloth, reshape and air-dry at room temperature with ventilation; do not wring forcefully. Leather may naturally develop grain, colour variation, darkening or softness changes through use and drying.
If using a leather-care product, choose a colourless product suitable for the relevant leather, test a small hidden area first and apply sparingly as directed. Any conditioner may change colour, feel or breathability. Damage from an unsuitable cleaner, conditioner or treatment is generally outside warranty.
06When to Stop Use and Request Inspection
Stop use immediately if there is cracking, material deformation, a loose part, sharp edge, obstructed vision, failed retention, unusual delamination or another condition that may affect safety or normal use. Continued use may worsen damage, prevent a reasonable cause assessment or cause injury.
Before cleaning, drying or handling a product suspected of contamination, mould, chemical exposure, batteries or sharp parts, tell us first. Care or repair advice does not replace the user's safety judgment in the circumstances or appropriate qualified professional advice.
07Requesting a Repair
Customers should generally complete Product Registration first, then email info@pl-aventure.com with name, contact details, order or receipt, product model and number, what happened, and clear photos or video of the complete product, issue, labels and serial number.
We may first make a remote preliminary assessment and decide whether the physical item is needed. Obtain case confirmation and return instructions before sending it. An unauthorised return, wrong address or direct showroom delivery may be refused. A form, automated email or case number confirms receipt only; it does not mean the product is repairable, free service is approved or liability is accepted.
08Sending and Inspecting the Product
Where safely practicable, a returned product should be reasonably clean, dry and properly packed, with unnecessary personal items removed. We do not guarantee storage or return of undeclared or unnecessary items. For hygiene, safety or inspection, we may require cleaning first or, after notice, charge a reasonable cleaning or handling fee.
We normally complete an initial inspection within 7 business days after receiving the product and required information. It may take longer during peak periods or where cleaning, drying, parts testing, technical advice or supplier assessment is needed. The outcome may be warranty handling, possible paid repair, no repair needed, presently inconclusive, or unsuitable for repair.
09Quotation, Approval and Payment
If an issue is outside warranty but may be repairable, where practicable we provide a proposed repair and estimate. A quote may include parts, labour, cleaning, shipping, tax or another reasonable charge, and may be subject to validity, parts availability and findings after disassembly.
No paid repair begins without express customer approval. If further inspection reveals an additional issue, the original approach becomes impracticable or the cost requires material revision, we pause and obtain further approval. If a quote is declined or unanswered, the item is returned or collected unrepaired as notified, and agreed inspection, cleaning, shipping or other charges may remain payable.
10Repairability, Parts and Cosmetic Differences
Every repair depends on product condition, safety, construction, materials, tools, parts, technical and supply availability. We do not guarantee every item can be repaired, restored cosmetically or returned to as-new condition. We may decline or stop work for safety, disproportionate cost, discontinued parts, excessive damage or risk of further damage.
A replacement may be an original, compatible or functionally comparable part. Colour, texture, finish, dimensions, version or other appearance may differ through batch variation, ageing, design update or supply constraint. We explain and obtain approval before work involving a material difference or functional change.
11After Repair
After repair, inspect and use the product in accordance with supplied care and use instructions. If the same repaired area develops an issue again within a reasonable time, stop use and contact us promptly. We reassess the original issue, work performed, use and applicable law.
A paid repair covers only the stated completed work. It does not create a new comprehensive warranty for the whole product or extend the original warranty for unrelated parts. Any separate period offered for repair work or a replacement part is the period in the quote, receipt or written confirmation.
12Shipping, Risk and Uncollected Products
Unless the issue is confirmed as covered under the Warranty Policy or we agree otherwise in writing, the customer generally pays and bears the risk of sending, returning and redelivering the product, and related duty and tax. Use tracked shipping and suitable packaging. Unauthorised express, insurance or other extra costs are generally not accepted.
After inspection or repair, we notify payment, collection or delivery using the provided contact details. The customer should complete arrangements within the reasonable period stated. For prolonged non-response or non-collection, we may give further notice and, where permitted by law, charge reasonable storage, redelivery or handling costs. Sale, recycling or disposal occurs only after reasonable notice and in accordance with applicable law.
13Unauthorised Work and Data
Self-disassembly, gluing, drilling, heating or modification, or repair by an unauthorised person, may cause further damage, safety risk or prevent reasonable cause assessment. A related issue directly caused, worsened or made unassessable by such work is generally outside commercial warranty. This does not cancel every unrelated right for the whole product where the law prevents it.
Identity, contact, purchase, product, photo, video and case information supplied for a repair request is handled under our Privacy Policy. Do not leave unnecessary private or sensitive information in a product, device or accompanying item.
14Liability and Statutory Rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, care advice and repair service do not cover trip, lift-ticket, lesson, substitute-rental, transport, accommodation, loss of income or other indirect loss arising purely from product unavailability, inspection or repair. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
This Policy does not replace or reduce any condition, warranty, right or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under the Sale of Goods Ordinance, Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance, Unconscionable Contracts Ordinance or other applicable law. A confirmed manufacturing issue is handled under the Warranty Policy and applicable law.
15Changes, Language and Contact
We may update this Policy for changes in products, care information, repair arrangements, operations or law. A confirmed quote and repair arrangement generally follows the terms confirmed at that time. No update reduces an accrued non-excludable right.
If the Chinese and English versions are ambiguous, inconsistent or conflicting, the English version prevails unless applicable law requires otherwise.
